EPFL harassment case: Lack of action and transparency

In 2020, 15 researchers accused an EPFL professor of psychological and sexual harassment. However, the university’s president, Martin Vetterli, decided not to take any action in July 2021. The complainants criticized this decision and the lack of transparency, questioning the university’s commitment to addressing harassment by senior faculty members. Despite their allegations, they were not granted “party” status and were unable to access the case file during the investigation.
