ETH Zurich has decided to establish a new institute at its Chemistry Department, a move seen by some as an attempt to isolate two professors who have been engaged in an ongoing conflict. The dispute began six years ago when Professor H. accused his then-institute leader of misconduct, even though he later withdrew the allegations. Professor B., the other party involved, was in contrast to Professor H. cleared of any form of misconduct or plagiarism. She is still waiting for ETH to make a public statement about the situation.
