First steps
If you have already tried to reach out to some close contacts, but the situation has not improved or even gotten worse. You are entering a more formal stage. At this point, we recommend that you communicate mostly through emails and letters so that you can keep all the correspondence. It might happen you find yourself going from meeting to meeting without any clear structure to the conflict resolution process. This can be very tiring and draining. Hence, we recommend that you require a written detailed timeline and a plan for the conflict resolution process. Next steps could include contacting:
ead of the institute / department
External advice service: e.g. ETH Zürich
ETH organisations: e.g. AVETH, VSETH, ETH Women Professors Forum, Equal, Respect
- Human Resources
If you have not received any adequate support from the previous points of contact, then the next step is to reach out to the top management of your institution and/or the supervising bodies of your institution. In case of ETH Zurich, this would be:
ETH Executive Board
- ETH Board
